Take probiotics: Referred to in the adverts as “good bacteria” these are similar to your normal gut bacteria, they include the bacteria Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium. They reduce the chances for harmful bacteria to grow and cause harm, and they improve digestion and make B vitamins (niacin and B6 and Folic Acid) easier to absorb. You can eat yoghurt with live cultures to get probiotics or eat more fruits and vegetables that encourage the growth of the bacteria.
Take digestive enzymes: If indigestion is caused by insufficient digestive enzymes, a few supplements can help. Bromelain, from pineapple, and pancreatin, and extract of pancreatic enzymes are commonly used. Ask your health practicioner.
