A Face Mask is an often underrated skin treatment used for centuries by women to improve their complexions. Many women nowadays are too harried to give the short time needed to let these Beauty Treatments do their magic. As well as treating all kinds of skin problems and complaints, herbal face masks help the whole body to relax, especially is you use them whilst soaking in a bath. Here are three face masks for different kinds of skin.
Herbal Face Masks
For dry dehydrated skin:
Use one small ripe banana and 1oz of fine oatmeal and 1 tsp of runny honey. Mask the banana to a smooth paste and stir in the oatmeal and honey, and spread over the face and neck. Leave on for 15-20 minutes and then rinse off with warm water and then pat dry.
For dry skin:
You can use warm olive oil on its won for an easy uplift, but for a really rich boost use half a ripe avocado an egg yolk and 1sp of olive oil. Mix to a smooth paste and apply to face. Leave for 15 –20 minutes and then remove with a damp tissue.
For combination or oily skin: (this is my type and I can really recommend it.)
Take 2 tsp of Fuller’s earth and 2 tsp of witch hazel and a lightly beaten egg white (for really dry skin you can use just Fuller’s earth, witch hazel and a tsp of lemon juice). Mix the ingredients to form a smooth past and then apply to face either with finger tips or sometimes easier with a make up brush. Leave for 5-10 minutes or if using second recipe, until mixture dries taut. Rinse off thoroughly.
