We’ve just had a New Year’s Day walk – and got very wet and battered by hailstones before we got back ! We were so cold and legs stiff we needed a bath when we got back – especially one to soothe chapped skin and relax aching muscles. I dried a load of my herbs at the end of October – and have lots of big bags of sweet smelling herbs to use for all purposes. Here is my simple recipe for a Thyme Herbal Bath
Thyme Herbal Bath
I found a square of thin cotton and put a nice handful of herbs in the middle, I then added a small handful of oats as well to soften the water. I tied round the top with string and let it hang and float in the water as the bath filled. The goodness is not just in the wonderful herbal essences in the water, but also in the smell which helps you to relax. This is a green alternative to the chemical stuff folks put in their baths and which are ruining our waterways.
