Yarrow – Achillea millefolium – A multi-use herbal remedy

The Yarrow in my garden will soon flower (mid June) and given its abundance, I will be collecting it to make a herbal remedy or two. I have clumps of different colours, but the white wild version always wins. I shall dry the herb and then possibly use it for Yarrow Tea infusions if needed, or for a variety of other uses.

Collecting a pot pourri from your garden over the summer

This pot pourri needs to start with a lot of dried lavender from last year – this is good because I have a bag of dried lavender I keep to make lavender bags for presents. However , the idea I heard today is that you start with a big bowl of lavender and add a few fragrant flowers and herbs each week over the summer.
